You are a Rockstar Momma! I agree completely on always having your business cards or a brochure with you that pertains to your business. I've missed an opportunity before and it's a lesson learned. Did you at least get his contact information so maybe a follow up call would get you those leads?

I have taken a yogalates class (mix of yoga and Pilates) but never just a yoga class. Hubby and I go to mat Pilates class once a week and are thinking about adding either another Pilates class OR a yoga class to our weekly workouts. Look forward to hearing what you think about it.

I adore Lauren!!! Haven't been around the whole summer and didn't know she was planning a new site...how exciting and I love it already...took a quick browse through yesterday.

We actually have been picking things up this year...here and there when we can. This is the first time we are doing it this way and am hoping I remember where I hide everything LMAO :)

Great spotlight! Love Lauren and if you ever have the chance to meet her, grab it. I'm lucky we live pretty close. But apparently we don't chat enough because I had no clue about this new site. LOL Great job, Lauren, much success with it.

As for how I'm planning for the holiday shopping season? No plans, we just fly by the seat of our pants and will probably do quite a bit of gift shopping in Jamaica and online too.

For most work at home moms, being there for their children and families is the biggest benefit of all. Seeing your child first thing in the morning, playing with them in the afternoon, working while the baby takes a nap on a blanket at your feet, and tucking them into bed at night is all part of the work at home charm. Words are powerful and yet you are right, they are not the bulk of our communication techniques. Our subconscious mind is vast and can pick up on things that our conscious mind misses because of all the noise. If more people could rely on intuition, they would find themselves making good choices more often. Good article, thanks.

Ok, but I'll be controversial here and ask the question..."why does it need to be a law?" Why can't people just be more responsible and bring their own bags? Why does it have to be legislated and take up so much time and money to become law?

I'm here in Seattle area so you know I'm in the same political boat, this is why I ask so much for people to take some responsibility. Bring your bags to the store and take less baggage home!

I have 6 huge costco bags that carry 70 pounds each and then a couple of smaller bags. I work hard at making sure bags get back to my car and I work hard at making sure I take them in. It's a matter of changing habits and it wasn't quick that's for sure :)

That is a very good comment to run through my own head when I have the computer on. "Am I here to play or to work?" Nothing wrong with being on the computer to play. In fact I use my social networking time as my fun time as well. Big reason why I have to be aware ;)

Hi Val - Good article especially in regard to social networking. On a related note about busy work in the office: I always say " are you generating income or are you playing office?!"
